These photos are all from last fall in New Mexico. They were all taken within about 30 minutes and 30 miles of one another. Some are from Maxwell NWR and the rest are from County Road a-70 (445) in the northwest part of the state near Raton. The first three shots are of a golden eagle ((Aquila chrysaetos.) To the best of my knowledge, the photos represent two different birds. The one flying did not take off from the dead tree. The last photos are all of different red-tailed hawks (Buteo jamaicensis.)
